Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is the injection of a patient’s own blood (platelets) to help promote healing of a targeted body part. PRP is obtained by spinning the patient’s blood to remove red blood cells, leaving the concentrated platelets. These are then injected back into the patient, and can accelerate healing of tendons, muscles, ligaments and joints.
